Sir Richard Price

Sir Richard Price or Pryse was buried in St Paul's chapel in Westminster Abbey on 21st October 1651 but nothing marks his grave. He was the eldest son of Sir John Pryse, from a very old Welsh family of Gogerddan, Cardigan. His mother was Mary, daughter of Sir Henry Bromley.

In 1641 he was created a Baronet. His first wife was Hester, daughter of Sir Hugh Middleton and his second Mary, daughter of the Honorable Patrick Ruthven and widow of Sir Anthony Van Dyke. His son Richard administered to his estate. The other children by Hester were Thomas and Carbery (who married Hester, daughter of Sir Bulstrode Whitlock).

His funeral fees were due from Colonel Jones.
