Owen and Henry Chadwick

A small memorial tablet to brothers Owen Chadwick O.M. [Order of Merit] KBE and Henry Chadwick KBE was unveiled by Lady Chadwick (widow of Henry) on 1st February 2018. It is situated on the wall of the south quire aisle of Westminster Abbey, next to the memorial to Richard Dimbleby. Flowers were laid by Owen Chadwick Parsons and readings were given by Priscilla and Stephen Chadwick. Professor Eamon Duffy gave a tribute. Cut by John Nash the inscription on the tablet reads:

I’ve worked here for over thirty years and have seen many of the major services - it’s strange to realise that you are in a small way part of history.
