Frederick Waring
A moveable mirror in the Lady Chapel at Westminster Abbey was given in memory of F.C. Waring of the restoration firm of Rattee & Kett of Cambridge. This allows visitors to get a better view of the magnificent fan vaulting ceiling of the chapel. The firm carried out major restoration works around the Abbey between 1973 and 1995. The small plaque reads:
In memory of Frederick Charles Waring 1920-1984 Master Mason
The other plaque concerns the makers and reads:
Worshipful Company of Carpenters Building Crafts Training School 153 Gt. Titchfield St London W1
The view illustrated shows the chapel windows reflected in the mirror.
