Anne Stanley, Countess of Ancrum

Lady Anne Stanley, Countess of Ancrum was buried in the chapel of St Nicholas in Westminster Abbey on 15th February 1657 but she has no gravestone remaining nor a monument. She was the only surviving daughter of William, 6th Earl of Derby and his wife Lady Elizabeth de Vere (who was buried in the Abbey on 11th March 1627). Her first husband was Sir Henry Portman and in 1621 she married Robert Ker (Kerr or Carr), 1st Earl of Ancrum (he died in Amsterdam in 1654). Their daughter Henrietta Maria was buried in the chapel on 4th January 1647.
