• Arthur Phillip

  Sailor and Spymaster

  A memorial stone to Admiral Arthur Phillip, founder of New South Wales in Australia, can be seen in the centre part of the nave.

• Henry VII and Elizabeth of York

  Henry VII’s coronation took place in October 1485. He and his wife Elizabeth were the first monarchs to be buried in the Abbey’s Lady Chapel.
