  In the south choir aisle is a grey and white marble monument to General Sir Thomas Trigge. Above the tablet is a partially draped urn.

• Diana, Princess of Wales

  Diana, Princess of Wales was tragically killed in a car accident on 31st August 1997. Her funeral was held in Westminster Abbey on 6th September.

  The ashes of William Bishop were buried in the west cloister. He held the post of Clerk of Works at the Abbey from 1928-1955.

  David Beatty, 1st Earl Beatty (1871-1936), naval officer, has a stall plate as a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath.
