  Sir John Davis was chairman of Westminster Abbey Trust from 1973-1985, the organisation which raised millions for the restoration of the exterior of Westminster Abbey.

  Politician and Royalist army officer Sir Hugh Pollard, 2nd Baronet of King's Nympton, Devon, died on 27th November 1666 and was buried in Westminster Abbey.

  Admiral Charles Cornwall of Berrington in Herefordshire was buried in the south aisle (presumably of the nave) of Westminster Abbey on 27th November 1718.

  Walter of Winchester was Abbot of Westminster from 1175. He died on 27th September 1190 and was buried in the south cloister of Westminster Abbey.

• Louis Henry Bedford

  Soldier

  St Margaret's south aisle is a small tablet to soldier Louis Henry Bedford. His name is also inscribed on the Crimea and Indian Mutiny column.

• Lady Waldegrave

  Mary, wife of James, 2nd Baron Waldegrave and later Earl Waldegrave, was buried in the middle aisle of the nave on 27th January 1719.

• Nicholas Assheton

  The ashes of the Hon. Nicholas Assheton were buried in the Islip chapel on 15th March 2013. He was Chief Honorary Steward from 2002-2006.

  Captain Richard Murray was buried in the west cloister of Westminster Abbey but has no marker.

• The President of Hungary visits Westminster Abbey

  The President of the Republic of Hungary, HE János Áder, accompanied by Mrs Anita Herczeg, First Lady, visited Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 24th May and laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

  Tour Westminster Abbey before we open our doors to the public and experience parts of the church only seen by a handful of people.

• Andrew Bell

  Priest/Minister

  In the south choir aisle is a white marble monument to Dr Andrew Bell. This shows a relief of a seated man.

• William Bishop

  The ashes of William Bishop were buried in the west cloister. He held the post of Clerk of Works at the Abbey from 1928-1955.

• George Green

  Scientist, Mathematician and Physicist

  A memorial for George Green, mathematician and physicist, was unveiled in the nave in July 1993, adjoining the graves of Isaac Newton and Lord Kelvin.

• Hon. Jane Hyde

  The Hon. Jane Hyde was buried in the east cloister. Her gravestone is now worn but is next to that of the Reverend C. Cracherode.
