  Soldier and Diplomat

  The tomb of Sir Thomas Vaughan, died 1483, is in St John the Baptist's chapel. A Purbeck marble tomb chest stands in an arched canopy.

• John of Waltham

  John of Waltham, bishop of Salisbury from 1388 was buried in St Edward the Confessor’s chapel in Westminster Abbey by order of Richard II.

  John Warren, bishop of Bangor, and his wife Elizabeth, philanthropist, are buried in the north transept. Both have monuments in the west aisle.
