Granville Sharp

Abolitionist

A memorial tablet, by the sculptor Sir Francis Chantrey, was erected for slavery abolitionist Granville Sharp in the south transept of Westminster Abbey.

Pasquale Paoli

In 1807 a monument to this famous Corsican was erected in the south choir aisle. It is white marble and includes a bust of Paoli.

Henry Grove

Soldier

The Hon. Henry Grove, Lieutenant General, who fought in Flanders under the Duke of Marlborough, was buried in the east cloister on 26th November 1736.

John Seward

John Seward was buried in the south ambulatory on 6th April 1624 but he has no marker. He was of Stoke under Hamdon in Somerset.

Timothy Brent

Architect

Timothy Brent, Surveyor General to the Duchy of Cornwall, was buried in the north cloister of Westminster Abbey.
