  Politician George Lindsay Johnstone was buried in the south cloister of Westminster Abbey. His monument can now be seen in the triforium galleries.

  A memorial stone to David Lloyd George, 1st Earl Lloyd George O.M., Prime Minister, was unveiled in the north aisle of the nave in 1970.

  At the west end of the nave is a monument to Admiral Sir Thomas Hardy. He is shown in Roman armour reclining on a sarcophagus.

• Sir Henry Barnard

  Soldier

  In the north transept is a memorial stone to six soldiers, including General Sir Henry Barnard, who served and died in the Indian Mutiny.

• Sir Godfrey Kneller

  Artist

  Sir Godfrey Kneller is the only portrait painter to be commemorated here. His monument is by sculptor J.M. Rysbrack after a design by Kneller.

  In the north transept, in front of Admiral Warren's monument, is the grave of two children George and Fernando Hastings. Both died of smallpox.
