The Service of Installation of Knights Grand Cross of The Most Honourable Order of the Bath was held on Wednesday 17th May at 11.15am. HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales (The Great Master of the Order) attended the service.

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh attended a Service of Thanksgiving to Celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Westminster Abbey at Noon on Thursday 24th November 2016. They were accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Richard, Earl of Cornwall (later King of Germany)
Soldier
Richard, Earl of Cornwall is not buried in Westminster Abbey but his carved shield is displayed in the nave of the Abbey.

Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester
The carved and painted shield of Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester, can be seen in the north choir aisle of Westminster Abbey.

HMS Barham
Sailor
At the nave altar are two standard and two altar candlesticks given in memory of those lost when the battleship HMS Barham was torpedoed during World War 2.

James Clerk Maxwell
Scientist, Mathematician and Physicist
In the nave is a memorial stone for James Clerk Maxwell, eminent physicist and mathematician. It is to the north of the grave of Newton.

John Hunter
Scientist, Physician and Doctor
John Hunter, surgeon and anatomist, was interred in St Martin in the Fields. When burials were removed from that church his remains were moved here.

Joseph Lemuel Chester
Writer and Historian
The American genealogist Colonel Joseph Lemuel Chester has a memorial in the south choir aisle. It is of marble and was put up in 1883.
