• Sir Bernard Brocas

  In the chapel of St Edmund is the tomb of Sir Bernard Brocas (1330?-1395). Brocas was a favourite knight of Edward the "Black Prince".

  At the west end of the nave is a monument to Admiral Sir Thomas Hardy. He is shown in Roman armour reclining on a sarcophagus.

  Admiral George Churchill was buried in the nave of Westminster Abbey and has a large monument. His sister Arabella is also buried. John Churchill Duke of Marlborough was briefly buried here then moved to Blenheim Palace.

  Essayist and satirist Thomas Brown was buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey, near Edmund Berry Godfrey's monument, on 22nd June 1704.
