Dean takes High Tea on Henry’s roof

The Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall took tea on the roof of Westminster Abbey on the morning of Wednesday 20th May to help promote London to UK and overseas visitors. ‘High Tea’ took place on the roof of the Henry VII Chapel as part of Visit London’s ongoing ‘Only in London’ campaign.

Abbey commissions conservation work on Coronation Chair

Westminster Abbey has commissioned conservation work on the Coronation Chair in which nearly every British monarch has been crowned since 1308. Work will be carried out in a specially-built enclosure in St George's Chapel in the Abbey which means that visitors to the Abbey will be able to see the work taking place.

Since its foundation in 1976, The Prince’s Trust has supported over a million young people aged 11-30 through a range of courses, grants and mentoring support. Westminster Abbey Choir to sing at St Peter's in Rome

Westminster Abbey’s world-famous choir arrives in Italy this week (Tuesday 26th June) for a tour of Rome and Montecassino which will include singing for Pope Benedict XVI, with the Cappella Musicale Pontificia ‘Sistina’, the Sistine Chapel Choir, at the Papal Mass marking the Solemnity of St Peter and St Paul (Friday 29th June) in St Peter’s Basilica.
