  John Carey, 2nd Earl of Dover, Viscount Rochford and Baron Hunsdon, was buried in the Carey family vault in St John the Baptist's chapel.

  Sir John Hawkins, writer, is buried in the north cloister of Westminster Abbey. His gravestone has been re-cut. He was born on 29th March 1719.

  In the west cloister is a white marble tablet to John and Avis Freeman. Called "Honest Brother Freeman" he was a member of the Abbey.

  In the east cloister is a marble memorial to Sir John Kemp. He was the eldest son of Reverend Thomas Kemp, rector of Gissing, Norfolk.

  John Granger (or Grainger) and his wife Mary are both buried in the centre part of the nave. The original gravestone was taken up in.

  Sir John Shorditch was buried in St Benedict's chapel in 1345. His grave may be that which is now beneath Dr William Bill’s tomb chest.

  Sir John Burland, judge, was buried in the south choir aisle of Westminster Abbey. His monument was moved to the triforium and can be seen there.

  Dr John Heylyn and his wife and daughter are buried in the south transept. The gravestone inscription is now very faint except for Elizabeth's name.

  In the north choir aisle is a monument to Lord John Thynne, Sub Dean of Westminster. This shows his white marble life sized recumbent effigy.
