  Prince Rupert, Count Palatine of the Rhine and Duke of Cumberland and Bavaria, was buried on 6th December 1682 in a vault with his mother.

  Mary Eleanor Bowes, Countess Dowager of Strathmore, was buried in the south transept of Westminster Abbey, wearing, it is said, a superb bridal dress.

  Meinhard Schomberg, 3rd Duke of Schomberg and Leinster, army officer, was buried in the Ormond vault at the east end of the Lady Chapel.

  A window was erected in the nave of Westminster Abbey in 1868 to commemorate the engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Designed by Norman Shaw.

  The memorial stone to George, 6th Baron Byron in Poets' Corner Westminster Abbey was given by the Poetry Society and unveiled on 8th May 1969.
