  Soldier

  In the south aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster is a large monument to Mary, wife of Edward Sutton, Lord Dudley. Both are buried in the church.

  John Panton was buried on 13th March 1619 in the "long aisle on the south side" (ie. south ambulatory) but nothing marks his grave.

  Dame Margaret Skipwith was buried 8th January 1742 in the Duke of Ormond's vault at the eastern end of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey.

  On the west wall of St Margaret's church Westminster is an oval tablet to musician and organist James Nares who was buried nearby.

  Statesman

  Henry Grattan, a statesman and defender of the rights of Ireland, was buried next to Charles James Fox in the north transept of Westminster Abbey.

• Sackville Whittle

  Physician and Doctor

  Sackville Whittle, surgeon to King Charles II, was buried in the north cloister. He was born about 1631 and was a son of William Whittle.

• Thomas Donkley

  Thomas Donkley, closet keeper to Charles II, was buried in the north cloister with his wife and many children. His grave is not marked.

• Granville Sharp

  Abolitionist

  A memorial tablet, by the sculptor Sir Francis Chantrey, was erected for slavery abolitionist Granville Sharp in the south transept of Westminster Abbey.

• Pasquale Paoli

  In 1807 a monument to this famous Corsican was erected in the south choir aisle. It is white marble and includes a bust of Paoli.

• William Rawle

  William Rawle, maker of military items, was buried in the north cloister on 15th November 1789. No gravestone remains for him. He has no monument.
