Her Majesty The Queen visited Westminster Abbey on Thursday 3rd October to see the site of The King Charles III Sacristy where building work will begin early next year to transform the welcome the Abbey offers the millions of people who come from around the world to enjoy one of the world’s great churches.

Sister Liz says goodbye after seven years 'loitering with intent'

Sister Liz is moving to the North East of England. She will be based at St Anthony's Priory, an ecumenical spirituality centre in Durham, where she hopes to be studying for an MA in Theology and Ministry at the theological college Cranmer Hall. She also plans to be undertaking chaplaincy work in Sunderland.

Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh attended a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life and Work of the Rt Hon The 1st Earl of Snowdon GCVO in St Margaret's Church on Friday 7th April. They were accompanied by the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of York, the Earl of Wessex, the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.

New Abbey Choir CD celebrates neglected Tudor composer

The Abbey Choir celebrates the release of a new CD on Hyperion Records today, Friday 2nd March. Conducted by James O’Donnell, who also plays the organ interludes on the disc, Missa Videte miraculum is a compelling introduction to the work of early Tudor composer Nicholas Ludford (c. 1485 – c. 1557).

New Collaboration to Reveal Secrets of Effigies

The wax-work heads of naval hero Horatio Nelson and Prime Minister William Pitt the Elder, which are over two hundred years old, have been scanned using the world’s most advanced radiology technology in a new collaboration between Westminster Abbey, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London.
