On Tuesday 15th November, HM The Queen attended the service of Holy Communion at the Inauguration of the Eighth General Synod of the Church of England at Westminster Abbey.

At the east end of the south cloister is a monument to Thomas Master. Thomas attended Westminster School in the Abbey precincts, where he died.

Letitia, Countess of Donegal was buried in a vault at the east end of the Lady Chapel on 15th May 1691. She has no monument.

Edmund, 1st Earl of Kent
Soldier
Edmund of Woodstock, 1st Earl of Kent, was a son of Edward I. He was executed for treason in March 1330 outside Winchester castle and was later brought to the Abbey for burial.

Magdalen Walsh was buried in the east cloister. Her monument, by Peter Scheemakers, was originally in this walk but was moved to the south cloister.

Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Mortimer and Baron Harley of Wigmore is buried in the vault of the Duke of Newcastle.

The Reverend Stephen Crespion and his sister Elizabeth were buried in the south cloister on 2nd December 1711 and 23rd June 1681 respectively.
