The Dean of Westminster, The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle OBE, has sent his condolences to His Majesty The King and the Royal Family upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II, on behalf of all at Westminster Abbey.

Catherine Hyde & Elizabeth Cotes
Catherine Hyde was buried in the nave on 28th February 1707. Elizabeth Cotes was her personal maid who was buried with her.

In the south aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster is a large monument to Mary, wife of Edward Sutton, Lord Dudley. Both are buried in the church.

Princess Anne, daughter of Queen Elizabeth II
Princess Anne is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. In 1973 she married Captain Mark Phillips in Westminster Abbey.

Mary was buried on 1st April 1665 but has no marker or monument. The location in the burial register says "near the Convocation door".

On 23 July 1986, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (then Prince Andrew), second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was married to Sarah Ferguson at Westminster Abbey.

Esther de la Tour de Gouvernet, Lady Eland
The graves of Esther de la Tour de Gouvernet, her mother and grandmother are in the north ambulatory. The gravestone inscription was re-cut in 1997.
