Musician and Composer
On 26th November 1695 Purcell was buried in the north aisle of the choir. This was where the organ stood at this time.

Lord John Thynne & Family
Priest/Minister
In the north choir aisle is a monument to Lord John Thynne, Sub Dean of Westminster. This shows his white marble life sized recumbent effigy.

In the west cloister is the grave of Sidney Robert Andrews, his son and his wife. He was Clerk of Works at the Abbey.

William Pitt the Elder and his son are buried in the north transept of Westminster Abbey. His wax effigy is on display in the triforium.

In the nave south aisle is a marble memorial to statesman and author Sir William Temple, his wife Dorothy, daughter Diana and sister Martha Giffard.

Sir Oliver Lambert or Lambart, politician, was buried in Westminster Abbey but the register just gives the location as "in the monuments".

Several young children of Sir Stephen Fox (1627-1716) of Farley in Wiltshire are buried in the cloisters. He was a Member of Parliament for Salisbury.

Giles Hooper, his two wives and son Edmund are buried in the north cloister of Westminster Abbey. The gravestone inscription has now worn away.
