• William Thynne

  In the south choir aisle is a tomb of alabaster and marble to William Thynne. His recumbent effigy in armour lies on a rush mattress.

• Actors' Church Union

  Actor

  In 1920 the Actors' Church Union presented a hearse cloth or funeral pall to Westminster Abbey. This was given in memory of members who had died in the Great War.

• Robert (Cecil), Marquess of Salisbury

  Statesman

  In the nave, near the west door, is an altar tomb of black marble with a bronze effigy of Robert, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury.

• Arnold Quellin

  Artist and Architect

  Some panels carved by Arnold Quellin as part of an altarpiece made by Grinling Gibbons are on display in the Jubilee Galleries. Four statues also exist but are not on show.

• HMS Barham

  At the nave altar are two standard and two altar candlesticks given in memory of those lost when the battleship HMS Barham was torpedoed during World War 2.

  Charles Ignatius Sancho who escaped from a background of slavery and rose to distinction in Georgian London, will be honoured when a new memorial is dedicated in St Margaret’s Church.

• Dudley Carleton, Viscount Dorchester

  Statesman

  Dudley Carleton, Viscount Dorchester and his first wife are buried in St Paul's chapel. He has a large monument and effigy by sculptor Nicholas Stone.

• Princess Amelia

  Amelia is one of several children of George II to be buried in a vault below an aisle of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey.

• George & Ferdinando Hastings

  In the north transept, in front of Admiral Warren's monument, is the grave of two children George and Fernando Hastings. Both died of smallpox.

  Rear Admiral Kenneth Snow was the Abbey’s Receiver General and Chapter Clerk and his ashes are buried in the north cloister with a small gravestone.

  In St Margaret's is a small 15th century carved figure of St Margaret of Antioch and the dragon given in memory of John Rankin Rathbone.

• Stephen, 2nd Baron Catto

  Philanthropist

  Stephen, 2nd Baron Catto of Cairncatto was a trustee of and benefactor to the Westminster Abbey Restoration Appeal. In Henry VII's chapel is a window.

• Ernest Hawkins

  Priest/Minister

  In the east cloister is a marble monument in the form of a cross to the Reverend Ernest Hawkins, Canon of Westminster from 1864-1868.

• Robert Clive

  Soldier

  Robert Clive, 1st Baron Clive of Plassey, has a memorial tablet in the south choir aisle. It was erected in 1919 by public subscription.

  In Poets' Corner is a small oval mural tablet with a lyre to John Keats. This is joined to an identical tablet for Percy Shelley.

  Sir Henry De Vic was buried in the north transept "between the font and the Convocation House". His gravestone is no longer readable.
