    Abbot and Priest

    Thomas Millyng, bishop of Hereford, and Abbot of Westminster from 1469-1474, was buried in the centre of St John the Baptist's chapel.

  • Sir William Waller

    Politician and Soldier

    Sir William Waller, Parliamentary General, died on 19th September 1668 at Osterley House and was buried in an overflow burial ground for St Margaret's Church.

    Soldier, Airman and Sailor

    In the south cloister is a memorial to UK Armed Forces who have lost their lives in conflicts since the end of the 1939-1945 war.

    Soldier

    "Colonel" Thomas Blood, who attempted to steal the Crown Jewels, was buried in the New Chapel burial ground in Westminster in 1680.

    Joan was a daughter of Edward I. On the 30th April 1290 she married Gilbert de Clare, 3rd Earl of Gloucester in Westminster Abbey.

    On the 8th of July 1290 Margaret, daughter of Edward I, was married to John, son of the Duke of Brabant, in Westminster Abbey.

    Christopher B. Mitchell was a donor to the Westminster Abbey restoration appeal, which culminated in the restoration of Henry VII's Lady Chapel in 1995.
