• William Cliffe

  Priest/Minister

  In the north cloister of Westminster Abbey is the grave of William Cliffe and his two nieces Mary and Ann Davies.

• Martyrs of the Reformation

  In October 1977 Lady Fisher of Lambeth unveiled a memorial stone to Martyrs of the Reformation. This is to the west of Elizabeth I’s tomb.

• Medley family

  In the south cloister is a gravestone to three members of the Medley family. The mother lived in New Peter Street, near the Abbey.

  Soldier

  John Milles was buried in the nave on 16th June 1815. His gravestone was taken up when the nave floor was re-laid in 1834.

  William III and Mary II were crowned as joint monarchs in the Abbey on 11th April 1689 – the first time this had happened in England. Their wax effigies are on display.

  Christopher Musgrave, Member of Parliament for Carlisle, was buried in the north transept on 16th September 1718 but he has no monument or readable gravestone.

• Didachus Sanchez

  In the north transept of Westminster Abbey is a worn grey marble stone, now without inscription, which covers the remains of Spanish soldier Didachus Sanchez.

  The King and Queen of the Netherlands visited Westminster Abbey on 23rd October as part of Their Majesties’ State Visit to Her Majesty The Queen.

• Owen Davies

  In the north cloister is the grave of Owen Davies and his wife Mary (Cliffe). Owen was Receiver General of the Abbey from 1729.

• James II

  James II was born on 14th October 1633. His coronation with his queen, Mary of Modena, took place at Westminster Abbey on 23rd April 1685.

• Elizabeth and Jane Joye

  In the north cloister is the gravestone of sisters Elizabeth and Jane Joye. Elizabeth was the eldest child of James Joye.

• John Carey, Earl of Dover

  Soldier

  John Carey, 2nd Earl of Dover, Viscount Rochford and Baron Hunsdon, was buried in the Carey family vault in St John the Baptist's chapel.

• William Craig

  The Reverend William Craig was a prebendary at Westminster from 1720-1721 and is buried in the south transept of Westminster Abbey.

  Alexander Baker, Master of the Barber-Surgeons' Company, was buried in the north ambulatory of Westminster Abbey on 2nd October 1635. But he has no monument.

• Robert Constable, Viscount Dunbar

  Just inside the gates of the north choir aisle is a mural marble monument for Robert Constable, Viscount Dunbar and his second wife.

  Until it was destroyed during the war there was a stained glass window to musician Vincent Novello in St Andrew's chapel.

  Philanthropist

  The Vacher family of Westminster gave both the brass eagle lectern and the carved and painted pulpit in St Margaret's church Westminster.

• Leonard Plukenet

  Writer and Physician

  Dr Leonard Plukenet (or Pluckenett) was botanist to Queen Mary II and was buried in the chancel of St Margaret's church on 12th July 1706.

• Alphonso Marsh

  Musician and Composer

  Alphonso Marsh, composer and royal musician, was buried in the west cloister of Westminster Abbey on 9th April 1692 but he has no marker.

• John Herbert

  Priest/Minister

  The Reverend John Herbert was buried in the north porch of Westminster Abbey on 30th October 1729. His wife Mary was buried with him.
