Westminster Abbey will be the spectacular backdrop for a light installation as part of Lumiere London, the city's first major light festival. The exterior of the Abbey will be lit each evening of the festival, from Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th January 2016.

Westminster Abbey takes part in Cathedrals at Night

The Abbey will be open from 4.30pm - 7.00pm (last entry at 6.00pm) as part of Cathedrals at Night, a project that will see all 42 Church of England cathedrals, as well as the cathedrals in Wales and the Isle of Man, open their doors free of charge.

Abbey Choir Thrills with Festival Performance

Westminster Abbey was full on the evening of Tuesday 16th May for a performance of J.S. Bach’s Mass in B Minor by the Choir of the Abbey and the period instrument ensemble St James’ Baroque under the direction of the Abbey’s Organist and Master of the Choristers, James O’Donnell. All the solo arias were sung by choristers and lay vicars of the Abbey Choir.
