  In the north aisle of the nave of Westminster Abbey are monuments to Dame Elizabeth Carteret, Edward and Philip Carteret.

• Atwood family

  Scientist, Mathematician and Priest/Minister

  In St Margaret's church are two memorials to the Atwood family. The Reverend Thomas Atwood and his wife have a tablet on the south wall.

• Mauleverer family

  Sir Richard Mauleverer and various members of his family were buried in Westminster Abbey. Grace has a memorial tablet.

  The Vacher family of Westminster gave both the brass eagle lectern and the carved and painted pulpit in St Margaret's church Westminster.

  The large monument to Sir Christopher Hatton is now in the triforium, having being moved from the lower Islip chapel. He and his wife Alice are both buried just outside this area .

  In the north ambulatory is a tablet to Juliana Crewe. On the other side is a marble mural monument to Lady Jane Crewe.

• Willes family

  Priest/Minister and Codebreaker

  Dr Edward Willes, bishop of Bath and Wells, was buried in the north ambulatory, together with his wife Jane and sons Edward and Sir Francis.

• Villiers Family

  Sir George Villiers, his wife Mary, son George 1st Duke of Buckingham and others of the family are buried in Westminster Abbey.

  Francis, Sir George, Sir Frescheville and John duke of Newcastle are among members of the Holles family buried in Westminster Abbey. Three have monuments.

• Noe Laine family

  A small window to members of the Noe family was given by Mrs Linda Noe Laine, a generous benefactor to the Westminster Abbey restoration appeal.

• William Bent and family

  On the north wall of St Margaret's Westminster is a tablet to William Bent and family. Much of the inscription is now illegible.

• The Nation's Memory

  When Charles Dickens died at his home in Kent on 9th June 1870, it was presumed that he would be buried in Rochester Cathedral or in one of the nearby parish churches at Cobham or Shorne. This, after all, was what the author of some of the greatest novels in the English language had wanted.

  In the central aisle of St Margaret's church is a gravestone to members of the Crosse family, buried in the vault below. There are two memorials also.

• William Wilberforce & family

  Priest/Minister, Statesman and Abolitionist

  William Wilberforce, MP, who took up the cause for the abolition of slavery was buried in the north transept. Samuel was Dean of Westminster and Basil was Archdeacon.

• Thomas Whitney and family

  Thomas Whitney was buried at St Margaret's Westminster in 1637 but has no marker. Many of his children were baptised at the church.
