    Henry was buried in Westminster Abbey on the north side of the Sanctuary area near the entrance to the chapel of St Edward the Confessor.

  • William de Curtlyngton

    Abbot

    William de Curtlyngton was Abbot of Westminster from 1315-1333. He was buried in front of the altar in the chapel of St Benedict, Westminster Abbey.

    At the nave altar are two standard and two altar candlesticks given in memory of those lost when the battleship HMS Barham was torpedoed during World War 2.

  • The Holy See invites Westminster Abbey choir to sing at St Peter’s in Rome

    Monday, 5th March 2012

    Westminster Abbey’s world-famous choir has been invited by the Holy See – through the Maestro of the Cappella Musicale Pontificia “Sistina” – to sing at St Peter’s in Rome.

    Two children of Edward III, William of Windsor and Blanche of the Tower, have a small altar tomb in the chapel of St Edmund.
