St Margaret's Church launches £2 million appeal

Conservators focus on St Catherine’s Chapel Garden

Jane Boughton & Anne Fleet
Jane Boughton was buried in the south transept on 16th November 1614 but nothing marks her grave. She was the widow of William Boughton.

Dame Anne Carey (Carew)
In the centre of the quire pavement is the gravestone of Anne Carey. When the paving in this area was laid her grave wasn’t disturbed.

Anne Hutten or Hutton was buried in Westminster Abbey in May or June 1644. Her daughter Alice who died of smallpox was buried in 1628.

'Choir Boy' Memories for The Queen from Choristers

Her Majesty The Queen received an early birthday present from the choristers of Westminster Abbey after the annual Commonwealth Service at the Abbey on Monday, 14th March 2016: a framed picture of 'Choir Boy' – the Queen's first winning racehorse which won the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot on 17th June 1953.
