    James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey, has been appointed as Professor in the Yale School of Music and Yale Institute of Sacred Music. He will leave the Abbey this Christmas.

    James Spottiswood, Bishop of Clogher, was born at Calder in Scotland. He is buried in St Benedict's chapel in the Abbey but has no monument.

    A small bust now commemorates James Watt, the great civil engineer. This replaced a very large marble statue.

    James Kendall and his niece Mary are buried in Westminster Abbey. James Kendall, politician and governor of Barbados, is buried in the south choir aisle.

    Architect

    James Wyatt, architect, is buried in the south transept. He was Surveyor of the Fabric at the Abbey from 1776 to his death.
