  Bishop Samuel Bradford was buried in the north transept of Westminster Abbey on 22nd May 1731. He was Dean of Westminster and Bishop of Rochester.

  He married Jane Ellis.

  Sarah Hughes was a servant who left money in her will to buy candlesticks for the High Altar of Westminster Abbey.

  Her sister was Jane Smith.

  A memorial for George Green, mathematician and physicist, was unveiled in the nave in July 1993, adjoining the graves of Isaac Newton and Lord Kelvin.
