  Westminster Abbey is een bijzondere plek, die al sinds 960 een belangrijke rol speelt in de levens van koningen, koninginnen, staatslieden, soldaten, dichters, priesters, helden en boeven. Sinds 1066 vinden hier veel van de Britse kroningen plaats. Bovendien is de Abbey de laatste rustplaats van ruim 3000 beroemde Britten.
