  At the west end of the nave is a monument to John Conduitt, politician. He is buried near Newton.

• George Green

  A memorial for George Green, mathematician and physicist, was unveiled in the nave in July 1993, adjoining the graves of Isaac Newton and Lord Kelvin.

  In the north choir aisle is a bronze roundel by Sir Hamo Thorneycroft to the memory of George Gabriel Stokes, physicist and mathematician.

  A memorial for Robert Hooke, one of the most brilliant and versatile of English scientists, was unveiled on 3rd March 2005.

• Paul Dirac

  Scientist, Mathematician and Physicist

  Probably the greatest English physicist since Newton, Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac was born on 8th August 1902 in Bristol. He was awarded the Nobel Prize.

  A Service of Thanksgiving for Stephen Hawking was held at Westminster Abbey on 15th June 2018, during which his ashes were interred in the Nave.

  HRH The Duke of Kent attended the dedication of a memorial stone to PG Wodehouse at Westminster Abbey on Friday 20th September 2019.

  In the nave is a memorial stone for James Clerk Maxwell, eminent physicist and mathematician. It is to the north of the grave of Newton.

  In a window bay of the south choir aisle is a memorial to Martin Folkes, numismatist, antiquary and President of the Royal Society.

  By the west door in the nave is a memorial to astronomer Jeremiah Horrocks. The inscription was set into a plain piece of white marble within the Conduitt monument.

  In the south transept of Westminster Abbey is a monument to Stephen Hales, eminent botanist and inventor of ventilators. He was descended from Thomas Hales.

  The ashes of eminent physicist Professor Stephen Hawking were interred in the nave of Westminster Abbey near Newton.

  In the south cloister is a memorial to astronomer Edmond Halley. It takes the form of a stylised comet, of slate, the tail being gilded.
