• Carola & Ann Morland & R. Harsnett

  Soldier

  In the nave are two monuments to Ann and Carola, wives of mathematician Sir Samuel Morland. Inscriptions are in English, Hebrew, Greek and Geez.

• William Wilberforce & family

  Priest/Minister, Statesman and Abolitionist

  William Wilberforce, MP, who took up the cause for the abolition of slavery was buried in the north transept. Samuel was Dean of Westminster and Basil was Archdeacon.

• George Ebenezer Williams

  Musician

  George Ebenezer Williams was Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey from 1814-1819. He was buried in the south cloister in April 1819.

  Physician and Doctor

  Sir Richard Jebb, physician, and his brothers Samuel and Avery, are buried in the west cloister. Sir Richard has a monument on the wall.

• Charles Bonnor

  Charles Bonnor, a Queen's Scholar at Westminster School, has a small marble tablet in the north walk of the cloister. He died of typhoid fever.

• Nicholas Oudart

  Nicholas Oudart was buried in the west cloister on 21st December 1681 but has no marker. He was born at Malines (Mechlin) in Belgium.

  Colonel Thomas Garth was buried in the south aisle of the nave on 11th January 1731, aged 66. He has no monument or grave inscription.

  Dr Walter Jones, Sub Dean of Westminster, was buried near his seat in the Quire on 15th July 1672 but he had no marker.

• Edward Spragge

  Admiral Sir Edward Spragge was buried in the north aisle of Westminster Abbey (most probably the north ambulatory) but his grave was never marked.

  In the south cloister is a gravestone to three members of the Medley family. The mother lived in New Peter Street, near the Abbey.

  John Battely, Receiver General of Westminster Abbey, was buried in the south aisle of the nave but has no marker.

  His Royal Highness The Duke of York attended a Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving to mark ANZAC Day at Westminster Abbey.

  The Duke of Sussex, The Duke of Gloucester and The Duchess of Cambridge attended a Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving to mark ANZAC Day.

  Dr John Dolben was Dean of Westminster 1662-1683 but he has no monument here as he’s buried in York Minister, having been made Archbishop there.

  Sir Thomas Peyton, 2nd Baronet of Knowlton in Kent, is buried in the north ambulatory. He was a son of Sir Samuel Peyton and Mary.

  On 2nd July 1965 a memorial bust was unveiled in St George's chapel in Westminster Abbey to William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army.

  The Reverend Dr Richard Annesley, Lord Altham was buried in St Benedict's chapel on 25th November 1701, next to the monument of Cardinal Simon Langham.

  A memorial to Alfred, Viscount Milner can be found on the wall of the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey.

  Musician and composer Pelham Humfrey is buried in the east cloister near the door into the church. The inscription on his gravestone has worn away.
