• Robert Townson

  Dean and Priest/Minister

  Robert Townson (or Tounson) was buried just outside the chapel of St Edmund in Westminster Abbey but he never had a monument or inscribed gravestone.

  On the south wall of St Margaret's church is a monument with bust to Mary Brocas. It shows her in Puritan dress within a roundel.

  On the wall of the south cloister is a memorial honouring all members of the various branches of the United Kingdom’s Intelligence Services from 1909.

  A small bronze statuette (weeper) of Joan, daughter of Edward III, can be seen on the tomb of her father in Westminster Abbey.
