  In the south transept is the grave of Sir Archibald Campbell of Inverneil as well as a memorial to him and nephew James Campbell.

• Sir Charles and Sir John Wolfe Barry

  In the nave is a brass covering the grave of architect Sir Charles Barry and a memorial window for his son, Sir John Wolfe Barry.

  In the west aisle of the north transept of Westminster Abbey is a memorial to Admiral Sir John Balchen (or Balchin).

  In the chapel of St Benedict in Westminster Abbey is the tomb of Simon Langham, the only Abbot of Westminster to become a Cardinal.

  In 1807 a monument to this famous Corsican was erected in the south choir aisle. It is white marble and includes a bust of Paoli.

  Ignatius Sancho, composer, writer, slave abolitionist and actor, died in 1780 and has a memorial in St Margaret's Westminster.

• Remembrance Service for the 25th Anniversary of the Lockerbie Air Disaster

  The Right Honourable Alistair Carmichael MP, Secretary of State for Scotland and Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Deputy First Minister for Scotland attended a Service of Remembrance to mark the 25th anniversary of the Lockerbie Air Disaster at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 21st December.

  Philanthropist

  Margaret Beaufort, Countess of Richmond and Derby, was buried in the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel. She was the mother of Henry VII.

• Ludovic, Frances & Esme Stuart

  Diplomat

  Ludovic Stuart, Duke of Richmond and Lennox, and several members of his family are buried in a vault in the Lady chapel at Westminster Abbey. He has a large monument.

• James Stanhope & Stanhope family

  Politician, Soldier, Diplomat and Historian

  In the nave, within the choir screen, is a large monument to James Stanhope, 1st Earl Stanhope. Inscriptions to later Stanhope's have been added.

• Frances Brandon, Duchess of Suffolk & family

  Frances Brandon, Duchess of Suffolk was buried in St Edmund's chapel in Westminster Abbey, with her daughter Mary Grey. Also Margaret, Countess of Derby.

• Sir Bernard Brocas

  In the chapel of St Edmund is the tomb of Sir Bernard Brocas (1330?-1395). Brocas was a favourite knight of Edward the "Black Prince".

  In the south transept is a monument of marble, erected in 1746, to the memory of Sir Edward, Robert Atkyns and members of the family.
