• The Choir

  The Choir of Westminster Abbey is renowned worldwide. Comprising thirty boys and twelve adult singers, its main focus is to sing the daily choral services.

  The 16th-century historian John Leland called the Henry VII Lady Chapel ‘the wonder of the world’ and it continues to inspire wonder amongst visitors today.

  The Cosmati Pavement was laid down in 1268 by order of Henry III who had started re-building the Abbey in the new Gothic style.

  On the floor of the chapel of St Nicholas in Westminster Abbey is a brass to Sir Humphrey Stanley who died in 1505.

  Dean and Priest/Minister

  William Bill, Dean of Westminster, is buried in St Benedict's chapel in Westminster Abbey. He was installed as Dean of Westminster 30th June 1560.

• Eleanor de Bohun, Duchess of Gloucester

  Eleanor de Bohun was a daughter and co-heir of Humphrey, Earl of Hereford, Essex and Northampton and has a fine brass in Westminster Abbey.

• Her Majesty The Queen attends the Commonwealth Service

  Her Majesty The Queen led the congregation at the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday 9th March 2020.

• Sir John Golofre

  Sir John Golofre was buried by order of Richard II in the south ambulatory. His cracked gravestone, not far from the king's tomb, still exists.

  In the south aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster, are two memorial brasses to former choristers of the church, William John McNally and Frederick McNally.

• Mary & Jane Lavie

  In St Margaret's church Westminster is a brass commemorating Mary and Jane Lavie. Three mosaic panels were given by the family.

• Ralph Selby

  Priest/Minister

  Ralph Selby, a learned monk in the Benedictine Westminster Abbey, died in 1420 and was buried in the south ambulatory.

• Henry Ferne

  Priest/Minister

  Henry Ferne, bishop of Chester, is buried in St Edmund's chapel. His grave consists of a marble plinth inset with an engraved cartouche of arms.

• Sir Thomas (Vaughan) Parry

  Statesman and Diplomat

  In the north ambulatory are four shields which is all that now remains of the brass from the grave of Sir Thomas Parry, died 1560.
