The Reverend Jane Sinclair was installed as a Canon of Westminster during Evensong at Westminster Abbey on Sunday 7th September 2014.
She will become Canon Steward of Westminster Abbey, succeeding the Very Reverend Dr Jane Hedges who was appointed Dean of Norwich earlier this year.

It is announced that the Reverend Jane Sinclair, Canon of Westminster, is to take on the responsibility of the Rector of St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, in succession to the Venerable Andrew Tremlett, with effect from 1st September 2016, following his installation as Dean of Durham in the summer.
Canon Tremlett said: I am delighted that my colleague, Jane Sinclair, has been appointed as the next Rector of St Margaret's.

The Abbey today mourns the loss of The Reverend Jane Sinclair, former Rector of St Margaret’s and Canon of Westminster, who has died.
Jane retired in April 2020 after five and a half years at the Abbey during which time she was a well-loved and deeply valued member of the Abbey community.

Canon Jane Sinclair to retire

The Reverend Canon Jane Sinclair, Rector of St Margaret’s, will retire on 30th April after five and a half years as a Canon of Westminster.
Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend David Hoyle, said: Jane has played a central role in the ministry at the Abbey over a particularly busy and fruitful period.

The Venerable Jane Sinclair, Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey, has been appointed by the Crown to the Canonry of Westminster vacant through the appointment of Canon Jane Hedges as Dean of Norwich.
Jane Sinclair comes to Westminster Abbey after seven years as Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey in the Diocese of Lincoln.
