The funeral of the Right Honourable Jeremy Thorpe

The funeral of the former Leader of the Liberal Party, the Right Honourable Jeremy Thorpe, took place at St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, on Wednesday 17th December 2014.

The service was conducted by the Venerable Andrew Tremlett, Sub-Dean and Rector of St Margaret's who gave the Address.

The Right Honourable The Lord Steel of Aikwood KT KBE DL read Ephesians 6: 10-18 and John Pardoe read Revelation 21: 1-7.

Sir Nicholas Harvey MP and Steven Atack paid Tributes.

Prayers were led by the Reverend Christopher Stoltz, Minor Canon and Sacrist of Westminster assisted by the Right Reverend Simon Barrington-Ward KCMG

The service was sung by the Choir of St Margaret's conducted by Aidan Oliver, Director of Music. The organ was played by Thomas Trotter.
