Summer savings on tickets
Wednesday, 17th June 2026

Visitors will enjoy lower entry prices this summer at Westminster Abbey as part of the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings campaign.
Running from 25th June to 1st September, the initiative temporarily reduces VAT to 5%, helping visitors save on admission throughout the summer. During the campaign, an adult ticket (which includes free entry for one child aged 6-17) will cost £27.13, saving £3.87.
Tickets bought online through the Abbey website can also be upgraded to allow visitors to come to the Abbey three times in a year for the price of one visit. Everyone is encouraged to book early to take advantage of the special summer pricing.
Alongside reduced admission prices Westminster Abbey is also welcoming visitors throughout the summer with a full programme of events and activities.
Scott Craddock, Head of Visitor Experience, said: ‘Whether you’re planning a visit with friends, a family day out or a weekend activity, it’s a great time to visit. And we have a summer season of talks, tours, music, and family activities with something for everyone to enjoy.'
Savings apply to full-price entry tickets only and do not include paid for tours, special events or other discounted ticket offers.
Visitors who have bought tickets in advance for visits between 25th June - 1st September 2026 can receive a VAT refund if they email [email protected] and quote their order reference number. Please bear with us as we process a significant number of claims.
Full details including revised prices, opening times, booking information and VAT refunds are available on our Prices and Entry Times page.
Everyone is welcome to one of our daily services at the Abbey and there is never a charge for worship.
