Dean of Westminster to celebrate 40 years as a priest

On Monday 4th July at 5.00 pm the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, will preside at a Sung Eucharist in Westminster Abbey to mark the 40th anniversary of his ordination as a priest.

He was ordained in Southwark Cathedral on Sunday 4th July 1976 and celebrated the Eucharist for the first time the following day at the Church of St John the Divine, Kennington where he was assistant curate. The Deacon then was a friend from Cuddesdon Theological College, who will preach at the Sung Eucharist forty years later, the Bishop of Norwich, the Right Reverend Graham James. All are welcome to attend the service.
