Dementia Friendly Visit: The Quire

Join us for a bespoke dementia friendly visit that will focus on Westminster Abbey’s beautiful quire, where choristers sing daily.

The visit will begin with refreshments and a short talk from a member of the Abbey team. After this, we will move into the Abbey to take a seat in the quire stalls. Take in the beautiful surroundings of the Abbey, learn more about what happens during coronation services past and present and hear about the daily life of the Abbey as a church.  

This event is for people living with dementia and their companion to enjoy together. This event is not suitable for organised groups. Please let us know in advance if you have any accessibility requirements so we can adapt the tour route. 

Ticketing Information

Booking is essential and there is a maximum of 16 people, including carers and companions. Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend so that we can offer your place to someone else. 

This event is designed to be suitable for people living with dementia and their companions. 

Timings 

11:00am - 11:45am: Welcome at the Cloister Entrance followed by refreshments and a talk in the Undercroft. 

11:45am - 12:30pm: Visit the quire

Meeting Location

This event will meet at the Cloister Entrance to Westminster Abbey in Dean's Yard. 

Access and Security

​​Please have your ticket ready to show our staff (either printed or on your mobile phone). 

​​On your arrival, your bag will be searched and we ask you not to bring any large items with you (for example suitcases, large backpacks or folding bicycles) as these will not be allowed inside and we are unable to store them for you.
