An evening with Kate Williams: Women and power
Historian Kate Williams unravels the myths that surround some of history's most famous royal women amidst the historic setting of Westminster Abbey's Lady Chapel.
Metres from the burial place of Elizabeth I, one of England's most famous queens, Kate Williams will journey through the lives of female leaders from across world history, encouraging us to think afresh about women, politics and power.
Copies of Regina: A New History of Women and Power will be available to purchase at the end of the event.

Timings
You are welcome to attend Evensong in Westminster Abbey at 5:00pm before the talk.Doors will open at 6:30pm and the talk will begin at 7:00pm. This will be followed by an audience Q&A from 7:45pm and a book signing will take place until 8:30pm.
Meeting location
This event will meet by the Cloister Entrance to Westminster Abbey in Dean's Yard.

Please have your ticket ready to show our staff (either printed or on your mobile phone).
On your arrival, your bag will be searched and we ask you not to bring any large items with you (for example suitcases, large backpacks or folding bicycles) as these will not be allowed inside and we are unable to store them for you.
