Late: Art in St Margaret's
Enjoy a rare chance to sketch in St Margaret's Church after hours and soak up the beauty of this historic Tudor church.
Pick up a pencil and spend a relaxing evening drawing in St Margaret's Church. As the darkness of evening sets in, focus on the intricate details of the stained-glass windows, the perspective of the pews or the shadow of a candlestick.
Open to all abilities, including beginners. If you are looking for some direction, artist Wilson Yau will be on hand with a series of optional activities.
For conservation reasons, you will only be permitted to use pencil and graphite whilst inside the church. Any materials brought on site will be checked upon arrival to ensure that they are suitable for the space.
About Wilson Yau
Wilson Yau is an artist and educator who specialises in teaching architectural drawing and history. He has a BA in Architecture and an MA in Design and Art in Education. For over 15 years, he has led creative workshops at leading museums and cultural organisations, including the Design Museum, Royal Institute of British Architects and Victoria & Albert Museum.

Age suitability
Young people over the age of 14 are welcome to attend this event. Under 18s wishing to attend must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
Timings
You are welcome to attend Evensong at 5:00pm before the event begins. Doors will open at 6:00pm. Last entry will be granted at 6:30pm. If you arrive after this time, it will not be possible to join the event.

Access and security
Please have your ticket ready to show our staff (either printed or on your mobile phone).
On your arrival, your bag will be searched and we ask you not to bring any large items with you (for example suitcases, large backpacks or folding bicycles) as these will not be allowed inside and we are unable to store them for you.
