  Henry Grattan, a statesman and defender of the rights of Ireland, was buried next to Charles James Fox in the north transept of Westminster Abbey.

  At the west end of the south aisle of the nave is a marble cartouche for the Reverend Henry Wharton, historian, who is buried nearby.

• Conservationists’ discoveries

  Saturday, 14th April 2007

  Four conservation students, working at the Abbey during their Easter holidays, were thoroughly cleaning the tomb and grille of Henry VII and made some surprising discoveries.

• Henry, Duke of Gloucester

  Henry, Duke of Gloucester, son of Charles I, was buried in the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey on 21st September 1660.
