Lord Bragg Delivers Second King James Bible Lecture

Lord Bragg, the author and broadcaster, gave the second lecture in the Abbey’s autumn series of lectures marking the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Bible in 1611.

Lord Bragg, better known to TV audiences as Melvyn Bragg, was the anchor of ITV’s South Bank show and is now a regular broadcaster on television and radio. His lecture on Wednesday – part of the series titled The Law, The Bible & Politics - covered the impact of the King James Bible on cultural life and literature in England between 1611 and now.
