Greg Morris

Director of Music, St Margaret's

Greg Morris is Director of Music at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, where he oversees and directs the music in special services both in St Margaret’s itself and in the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft in the Houses of Parliament, and is responsible for setting up the new St Margaret’s Choristers.

Besides his work at Westminster, Greg is Musical Director of the chamber choir Collegium Musicum of London, and of the Bar Choral Society, which he co-founded in 2014. With both choirs, Greg performs music ranging from mediaeval to contemporary works, and in particular collaborates with leading soloists and period instrumentalists in the performance of major works from the Baroque and Classical eras.

Greg is also an established organist, in which guise he has performed on four continents, broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, played at the BBC Proms, and given a year-long series of recitals featuring the complete organ works of JS Bach in different churches around London. Prior to his arrival in Westminster, Greg held posts at Temple Church, Blackburn Cathedral, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and holder of the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
