A podcast for Michaelmas

Bryony Strickland, Deputy Head Girl at Westminster School reads from St John’s gospel for Abbeycast, the Abbey’s worship podcast series, released today for the feast of St Michael and All Angels.

Today’s episode, ‘Angels ascending and descending’, recorded this week in the magnificent 16th-century Lady Chapel, marks the feast of St Michael and All Angels.

The podcast is led by the Reverend Mark Birch, Minor Canon and Precentor with an Address by the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster. Bryony Strickland reads John 1: 47–end. Sir Michael Tippett’s Plebs angelica sung by the Abbey Choir and conducted by James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers, is supplied by the Choir’s record label, Hyperion.
