A podcast for the Feast of the Translation of St Edward

Simrin Rahman, a student at Harris Westminster Sixth Form, reads from St Matthew’s gospel for a special edition of Abbeycast released today for the Feast of the Translation of St Edward.

Today’s episode, ‘St Edward – King and Confessor’, recorded this week in the magnificent shrine of St Edward the Confessor, marks the Feast of St Edward.

The podcast is led by the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster, with an Address by the Reverend Canon Dr James Hawkey, Canon Theologian. Simrin Rahman reads Matthew 20: 20-28. Bruckner's Os iusti meditabitur sung by the Abbey Choir and conducted by James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers, is supplied by the Choir’s record label, Hyperion.

Abbeycast, the Abbey’s worship podcasts, are being published to mark Feast Days and special anniversaries. Those wanting to be kept up to date with new releases can subscribe.

The Abbey has 22 daily services weekly which all are welcome to attend. Advanced booking is required for some services.
