The Abbey is no longer open for public worship, general visiting or private prayer. Meanwhile, the community of Abbey clergy, privately and following guidance given, will sustain the worship of a building that has been a witness to God’s grace and glory for over a thousand years.

Book a video-conference and bring Westminster Abbey into your classroom

We offer live, interactive video-conferencing sessions led by one of our Education Officers. The session can be tailored to the needs of your class, and run them at a time that best suits you. Video-conferencing sessions last around 30–40 minutes.

Popular themes for KS3, KS4 and Post-16 students include:

  • Symbols of Worship
  • Coronations
  • Edward the Confessor
  • Tudors at the Abbey
  • Remembrance.

Your school will need to provide a screen, computer, camera, microphone, and some speakers. We'll connect to you via Skype.
