Westminster Abbey to lead VE Day celebrations
Monday, 24th February 2020
The Abbey remains open for worship and you are welcome to join us at our daily Eucharist service if you are able to travel here safely within current government guidelines.
However, for the time being we are unable to open the Abbey and St Margaret’s Church for general visiting.
We welcome media enquiries from 9.00am—5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Contact us by phone or email as we are unable to answer enquiries in person. We also offer an out-of-hours service for urgent media calls.
We manage media accreditation for major services at the Abbey and offer free entry to journalists writing articles or producing TV/radio programmes about the Abbey. Please contact us in advance with details of your project to book your pass.
We offer filming facilities for documentaries/factual programmes which have a link to the Abbey. Filming takes place around our services and visiting so get in touch early as slots are limited. There is a fee, and we have conservation guidelines for programme makers.
Personal photography is welcome at the Abbey, although only in selected areas of the church. For more information, see our photography policy where a selection of images can also be downloaded for personal use. We are unable to offer commercial photography shoots.
We can send images for editorial use to your publication or website. Commercial picture enquiries, including academics and book publishers, should get in touch with the Abbey Library.
