Maud Holland, Countess of St Pol

Maud Holland, Countess of St Pol was apparently buried in Westminster Abbey but the location of her grave is unknown. The Abbey sacrist records payment concerning her hearse.

The funeral, on 23rd April 1392, was attended by her half brother King Richard II. Her parents were Thomas Holland, Earl of Kent and his wife Joan (daughter of Edmund of Woodstock, Earl of Kent). Joan married secondly Edward "the Black Prince" eldest son of Edward III. Maud's sister Joan married John de Montfort, Duke of Brittany. Her brothers were Thomas Holland, 5th Earl of Kent and John Holland, Duke of Exeter. She married firstly Sir Hugh Courtenay and secondly Waleran of Luxembourg, Count of Ligny and St Pol.
